Dear KYCAA members and friends:

1.On Oct. 26, KY Chinese American Association is hosting 4 officials
from the Chinese Embassy in Washington DC when they come to visit
Kentucky.

2. They will help to put a stamp on applications for passport renewal.
Once you get the stamp, you will be able to renew your passport by
mail. This means you will avoid the expenses associated with a trip to
DC for the renewal.

3. Please see the attached file from the Chinese Embassy about
passport renewal. It is very critical that you follow the instructions
closely to avoid any delay in processing your application.

4. The embassy officials will be here for about 2 hours on Oct. 26.
The number of applications to be processed will be limited.

5. KYCAA members will have priority since KYCAA is organizing this
event. Anyone interested can renew your KYCAA membership or join KYCAA
now to enjoy this and many other member benefits in the future. See
more information about our organization at www.kycaa.org.

6.The officials will be arriving at 4:20pm that day. Any complications
in their travel may cause delay in the starting time of the service.
We will relay that information as quickly as we can. We ask for your
patience and cooperation if there is any delay.

7. You all need to be at Room 106, University of Kentucky Student
Center
off Avenue of Champions, Lexington, KY between 5:30-7:30pm,
Tuesday, Oct. 26. However, there is no assurance of any particular
time your application will be processed. Everyone needs to sign in and
wait for your name to be called.

Just like organizing the large scale Chinese New Year Celebration and
Moon Festival celebration, this event is another way KYCAA serves its
members and the local Chinese American community. Everyone is welcome
to join KYCAA to be served and to serve others.

Changzheng Wang, Ph.D

President, Kentucky Chinese American Association
