As we are approaching the school staring date for Fall semester, We are pleased to announce that KYCAA Chinese school will resume in-person class in upcoming Fall semester. We will use the same public school facility (Lafayette High School) and maintain the same school hours (every Saturday from 2-5:30pm) as we normally offered.

Dear members of KYCAA,

As you all know, the COVID-19 epidemic in the U.S. is severe and the cases in Kentucky are increasing. Shortages of anti-epidemic materials are very popular in local hospitals and is directly endangering those front-line doctors and nurses.

Now, Kentucky Chinese American Association is launching a campaign to collect donations. All funds collected through:

The donation will be used to purchase medical masks, protective clothing or other anti-epidemic materials and donate to local hospitals where patients are treated.

Kentucky Chinese American Association was officially registered as a 501c3 non-profit organization in 2005. Dear members of KYCAA,

As you all know, coronavirus has spread to many areas in China and other countries. So far, majority of people infected are in Wuhan and nearby cities in China. Personal protective materials including surgical disposal masks, coveralls and medical safety goggles etc. are needed for doctors and nurses, who are treating and taking care of the growing number of patients there.

Kentucky Chinese American Association (non-profit) is launching a campaign to collect donations to purchase such materials to help the local hospitals where patients are treated.

    Holiday market with festival foods, crafts, traditional costumes, calligraphy, mini Chinese class, cultural displays and family activities.

  • 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm

    Performance featuring festival songs, dances, Chinese music ensemble including Erhu, Hulusi, Yangqin, Pipa, Jinhu, dragon dance and special presentations of acrobatics and Sichuan Opera (Face Changing).

Chinese Embassy Passport Renewal - April 9, 2016

The Chinese Embassy in Washington DC will send officials to Lexington to help process applications for passport renewal and travel documents on 04/09, Saturday, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm, at at KYCAA Chinese School (Lafayette High School) Cafeteria, 401 Reed Lane, Lexington, KY 40503.

This is based on "first come first served". Please arrive at school and watch for signs to the cafeteria, pick up a number and wait in line for service. KYCAA officers will help to review the documents in order to speed up service by the embassy official. The service will be free to KYCAA members and UK students (with student ID). Others will need to pay a $25/person service charge to KYCAA.
