Mission
Statement
Kentucky Chinese American Association (KYCAA, formerly KYACAP),
a non-profit and non-political organization, is committed to serving
the communities in Kentucky by promoting the appreciation of Chinese
culture and heritages and enhancing cross-cultural understanding
through educational programs. KYCAA provides opportunities for
interaction, networking, and collaborations among its members
and between members and their communities.

Lexington Community Celebrates the Year of Dragon
On January 21, 2012, KYCAA brought the community together to celebrate the Chinese New Year
at the Singletary Center for the Arts located on the cam-pus of University of Kentucky.
This annual festival has been the largest Chinese cultural event in Kentucky.

Seminar on Job Search Strategies
KYCAA and UK-CSSA will jointly hold a seminar on job search strategies
at the UK William T. Young Library Auditorium, March 28, 2012, Wednesday
7:00 - 9:00 pm. It is a good opportunity for undergraduates, graduates and
visiting scholars who are interested in seeking a job to get useful
information.

KYCAA-2012 Chinese New Year Celebration
The 2012 Chinese New Year Celebration will be held in the UK
Singletary Center on Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012. The holiday market will be
open from 4:30pm - 6:45pm, and the stage performance will be from 7:00pm
to 9:00pm.

KYCAA Held Annual Moon Festival Celebration
The Kentucky Chinese American Association (KYCAA) held the Moon Festival Celebration on Sept. 10, 2011
at the Moondance Amphitheater in the Beaumont Centre. UK Confucius Institute, YMCA, UKCSSA and the KY Chinese Teachers Association, YuYu and numerous other businesses co-sponsored the event.

Moondance Amphitheater in Beaumont Centre Circle, Lexington, KY 40513, Saturday 4 pm - 8 pm, Sept. 10, 2011. Activities include
talent show, moon cake competition, Chinese essay and drawing contest,

Lexington Celebrates Chinese New Year
Kentucky Chinese American Association has brought the community
together for the sixth year to celebrate Chinese New Year on Sat.
Jan. 29. Mayor Jim Gray and Chinese dance artist Cheryl Pan co-hosted the event. Several local
media including the Herald Leader newspaper, WUKY Radio, Channel
27 TV have reported on the event. The stage performance was recorded
by KET to be shown on TV.
